In rural India, the percentage of women who depend on agriculture for their livelihood is as high as 84%. Women make up about 33% of cultivators and about 47% percent of agricultural laborers.
For women in rural areas, self-dependency is as much important as education; for that to achieve F2DF was made as a platform with the help of which they can sell their farm products i.e., Dairy products, Animals, Fruits, Vegetables, Food Grains and other Agri based goods at a good price and buy implements of cheaper rates to earn more and even manage to upgrade their family lifestyle. In rural areas 70 percent of its households still depend primarily on agriculture for their livelihood, with 82 percent of farmers being small and marginal. The literacy rate is 73.5 percent in rural areas and maximum literate rural population are youth which belongs to 15-45 years age group.
They can be educated about technology and digitalization. They need a Platform for agricultural products and services where they can buy and sell their items at good price. F2DF provides them an E-commerce platform for the same and also to give and take on rent the same items.
